Format date to show day name

I am using a calendar (ocxCalendar) to enter dates into a form and the date is currently being displayed as 08/04/2008.

I need to be able to change this so that the date includes the day. So for example, it would read something like Tuesday 8th Apri 2008.

I have 7 date fields on the form (1st Date, 2nd Date) etc.
