How can I use Dlookup in a form control field and update the field in the table at the same time?

Zone: Access Forms

I have an Access database. Within that database a form has a control field defined as Dlookup. This field will not update the table. How can I use Dlookup and update the field in the table at the same time?

Here is the control source:

=DLookUp("[Employee_id]","[All information in Disaster Contacts spreadsheet]","[Expr1] = Forms![KYR Data Entry Form]![Employee Name]")

It finds the Employee ID needed, and saves the rest of the data entered into the form into a table, but not this field. The Employee ID field is the key to the table.
