Unlink Field and Label

Asked by TwistYaWig in Access Forms

I have created a Form in access using a query.  I originally created the form using the wizard and selected tabular layout.  This put my labels in the header and my fields in the detail area.  Now I wanted to drag a new field in, which I have done, but I cannot unlink the label and the actual field.  For example, I have dragged the field "Mat_Def" into the header, which created the field and a label for the field in two seperate text boxes.  When I click the label it selects the field, and when I try and delete the label, it deletes the field with it.  Somehow the two are linked.  I really want the label to be in the header and the field to be in the detail, but when I try to drag the field down to detail from the header all it does is push the header down a little more.  I thought they were just grouped, but I have select both at the same time and went to ungroup them, but its not an available option.  Help!Start Free Trial
