SPEED!!!! Too Slow with linked database

Hi,

I have a MS Access 2000 database with about 50 tables in it, most with only a few records, some with a max of about 200 records.  I have a front end in Access 2000 also which has linked tables to the single back end.

I develop on my laptop and opening forms is reasonably fast (a sec or two).  However, when I put the database on a server (PII, 400 with 128 ram), opening a form can take 10 seconds.  I've moved the front end to the local workstation (a PIII, 600 with 64 Ram) and this seems to do just about nothing for the speed.  These are not terribly complex forms and have at most 2 joins for the data.

Is there any way to speed this up?  Please Help!!!!
