TEXT FILE CONVERSION

Hello,

I have many csv files , say about 20 on the network. They are in a folder structure.

There is one main folder , inside of it five folders and inside of those are some other indented sub folders.

I need to write code in access that goes through this folder structure on the network and picks up these csv files, and makes one giant csv file,

But the catch is , each time there is a new level of folder, the file I am creating must indent.

So for the sake of privacy,

our network letter is

Z:\Production\

I will call the folders for the first level,

Main,

Second level , Sub1, sub2 , sub3, sub4, sub5

third level, SSub1, SSub2, SSub3

and there can be up to five levels deep.

Thus I need vba code to do the following,

1 import the files into access, or if there is a better way thats ok. ( going as deep as the folder structure goes, usually no more than 4 or 5 levels deep)

2 each time there is a new level of folder (csv file) , there should be a new indent, just like the directory tree on the network.

3 Also I want to capture the network folder name each time there is a new folder name , or indent in the file.

the resulting file needs to be exported as one big csv file.
