With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Please HELP!  Access problem that has me boggled!!

Hey I was hoping someone could help me with the issues I'm having.  One computer on our companies network keeps having really wierd issues with access.  

Basically it just quits with the following error:
Event 4097
The application, , generated an application error The error occurred on 05/28/2003 @ 10:35:37.500 The exception generated was c0000005 at address 30D28BED (MsoRenderColorSwatch)

THis warning also comes up alot:
Event 1004 Scource: MsiInstaller
Detection of product '{00000409-78E1-11D2-B60F-006097C998E7}', feature 'AccessUserData', component '{8ADD2C98-C8B7-11D1-9C67-0000F81F1B38}' failed.  The resource 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Access\UserData' does not exist.

as well as this similar one:
Detection of product '{00000409-78E1-11D2-B60F-006097C998E7}', feature 'OfficeUserData', component '{C9AF9050-C8BE-11D1-9C67-0000F81F1B38}' failed.  The
resource 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\UserData' does not exist.

Honestly it is the most random thing I've ever seen and I'm usually good at trouble shooting stuff, although this registry stuff is a little above my skill level and makes me wonder if that is the issue.  One second it works and the next second the user is booted, also all other work stations seem to work fine so it really does seem isolated.  Now as far as I can tell it is just this one computer since I have triple checked everything on the network level and all is fine.  I have also done virus scans, reinstalled it, and compacted and repaired.  Please give me some sanity back and help with this issue!!!
