How do I email with Access?

I have a database of contact information that we've gathered with typical information such as name, address, phone numbers, email addresses, etc. How can I use the gathered email addresses for mass emailing? I'd also like to be able to filter based on other information - such as sending an email only to people who live in Texas, for example.

I know the very basics of Access, but do not know any VB programming. While searching for information I've found a lot of programming suggestions, but I have no clue how to begin. I even found an older PAQ asking almost this exact same question (http://www.experts-exchange.com/Databases/MS_Access/Q_10117225.html) but the answer was meaningless to me.

What would be perfect would be a step-by-step tutorial ("click here, type this," etc) that I could then disect and learn from. I'm using Office XP on a Windows XP system, Exchange Server 2000 for email, Outlook as the client.
