The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Free MAPI or POP3 server in a ocx or dll flavor (use with multiple attachments)

Sorry, This is yet another golden cow question I'ld guess. I have NO MONEY to buy one and I'm looking for an email server library dll or ocx I can use in Access 2000 or XP.

Mostly to use on XP os, but maybe I need it to work in win98 (forget 'bout 2000). The installed default EMail could be Outlook or Express or Exchange or MSN or ???? so I'ld prefer a MAPI enabled client that can autosense the connected ISP mail server (or at least be easy to configure for it) (I can NOT re-configure the client machine to any EMail client that I want to.)

I've noted R_Mail and PB_Email, but don't want to waist myself needlessly if they won't work unlicenced. I can stand an initial pop-up message advo at the start of a run, but not one for each email message sent. And especially, I must be able to attach multiple files. This is why I can't use the sendobject VBA coding.

The application creates datasets in file types per customer order, and must deliver to a list of customers from a client machine in any at-home office I install it in. This is not an off the shelf application. I install / maintain each one.

So I need an EXAMPLE with this ocx or dll that shows making an EMail for a single recipient, subject, lengthy body (in html maybe?) and 2 or more attachments. And I want a confirmation return(if possible). If the sent mail shows in the normal default email application, so much the better. Confirmation thru the default email is OK too. I would control outbox scheduling myself so I don't need that feature.
