The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. Generate Custom Autonumber based on current year

Hi Experts,

I need to generate an auto incrementing number in the format of yyyy0000 where yyyy= the current year.  I'm kind of on a time crunch and can't seem to get my head around how to accomplish this.  This number (eg. 20030001) is going to be the box number for each box in the inventory of boxes that we are shipping to an online imaging company.  I need to maintain an inventory database of these boxes to manage when the files get scanned in and when the boxes can be destroyed.  Any help and ideas are greatly appreciated!
