How to automatically print a report upon barcode scan of order number?

I have a simple database containing customer orders. I need to be able to print a packing slip when an order comes down the production line. Earlier I was trying to auto print it when a field was updated from my shipping software, but now the packing slip is needed even beofre the shipping step, so I need to figure out how to print it upon a barcode scan of an order number.

I want to be able to have a window open, either in a form or a query, waiitng for input which would be a barcode scan of the order number. Upon hitting enter (I can have my barcode scanner send an enter after the scan) I want the report to print and then go back to the order number window to await for another order number to be entered.

So far I have a query named "order_number" that asks for an order number and returns all the fields the report needs.
I have a report named "packlist" whose record source is the query "order_number"
I don't have any forms designed so far.

Any ideas? I hope this is clear.
