Fixed the problem. My specs were messed up. the specs should be exacltly similar to the table structure and my specs were not that way.hte headings were all messed up. i changed that and it worked.

Browse All Topicsi am trying to export a file using specs by passing the specs parameter in tranfertext function. It works in 97 but does not work in 2003. Can anyone help.

2 things, first you don't need the \\ in the filename so it should be , "qryabc", "c:\result\result.txt"
DoCmd.TransferText acExportDelim, "QryabcExtractExportSpecs"
second, did you import the QryabcExtractExportSpecs specification into your new database ??
