Sorry, I can't track down where I originally got this to give credit to the author, but it has been VERY helpful to me, especially when I want to requery a number of subforms at once and control the pace at which the requery takes place.
Anyway, here it is:
Option Compare Database
Declare Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32" (ByVal dwMilliseconds As Long)
Sub Wait(Sec As Double)
For i = 1 To Sec * 100
DoEvents ' handle events
Sleep (10) ' suspend process without CPU-Load
Next
End Sub
Then just call Wait(0.1) for instance if you want to delay 1/10 of a second.
For example, I wanted to requery one subform and have that totally refresh before 4 other subforms requeried (this was to reduce flicker). To do this I just went:
Forms![myFrmParent]![myFrm
Wait(0.1)
Forms![myFrmParent]![myFrm
Forms![myFrmParent]![myFrm
Forms![myFrmParent]![myFrm
Forms![myFrmParent]

Nope, sorry, I'm relatively new here and wanted to post something that was helpful to me. This solution was buried inside another question and someone searching might not find it.

Good thinking, as there's too many developers that tend to horde knowledge. Some of these people I had to inherit applications from. But alas, the Access channel is not set up to really do anything but Q/A.

Not on EE to my knowledge, but maybe there should be. There are other websites (like http://www.mvps.org/access
Perhaps I will look at your code, integrate it into one of my apps, ask it as an EE question, and you can answer it for points.
