Hello,

I have very new to subforms, so please forgive me as I explain all this in my own terms. I have two main tables. "CustomersTable" & "CreditsTable"

This database is maybe 20 minutes old and as of right now, it's only a test database.

CustomerTable:

This is a list of customers.

CreditsTable:

This is a list of credits that will be applied to a customers account.

I have made two forms. "Form1" & "Form2"

Form1:

This is just a form, that is connected to the "CustomerTable".

Form2:

This is just a form, that is connected to the "CreditTable".

On form1, I have also made a subform that looks at the credit table. I learned how to set the subform up, so that when you move around from one record to the other, in the CustomerTable, you actually see only the credit records that apply to that customer specifically.

Now... Here's my problem...

On form1, I have a button - that when clicked opens up, form2. Once that's opened you enter in information relating to teh credit that customer will recieve. The user will add many credits from within that window that pertain to only that customer thier working on.

Problem 1:

When the user adds a credit to the credit table, via Form2 - how do I get the subform to update in realtime?

Right now, I am able to add credits via the form but in order for me to see those changes I've made, I have to move to another record, then back again for it to refresh.

Problem 2:

The way I am joining all these in teh subform, is that the AutoNumber in CustomerTable, is the same number as a number in the CreditTable. Right now, I can only make this happen by manually typing in the number. But what I would like, is when the credit form (form2) is opened, one of the fields will automatically equal the number in the customer record. It has to automatically be filled in.
