Prevent Duplicate Entry on multiple fields with VB code

Asked by proffittware in Microsoft Access Database

Tags: duplicate, prevent

I know how to create a multiple index key (no duplicates)...but the error message is 'not user friendly'...

Can anyone assist me with the basic VB code to prevent duplicates so I can create my own message and then either ask a question to "continue" or not.

I am not sure what function (if any) I should use.
