The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Massive Lack of Image to Database Knowledge

Asked by Intelligent_Inc in Microsoft Access Database

Hello. I'm hoping you can help with this issue - or, for that matter, that anyone can.

I am having a major issue implementing image scans into an access database.
I have downloaded multiple ocx or activex plug-in modules which supposedly help accomplish this act. Unfortunately, I am not knowledgable enough to modify the code to fit my database, I do not know how to have multiple images scanned to a single record < i.e. for Bob Jones...images bob jones1, bob jones2, etc...multiple images may added to any given record, in the future, as well.>, which is where the majority of my issue resides. Toss in the fact that I have VERY limited coding ability..and, you can guess the results.
I have access. I have a database. I have a twain compliant scanner. I have pajantImage control, and DBPix control.
Upon opening both of the control examples, I can see how the sample images are attached to a given record, but, not how to auto-name and auto-attach them into the proper database fields.
I've chosen to go the blob route, storing a link to the image, rather than the entire image in the databse.  I can manually add each link, for the existing images to the appropriate slots in the database...but, I am obviously not going to do this by hand. Additionally, I am trying to implement this package for a client, who's end-users have the general pc knowledge of gnats.
I've posted this question previously, and have had several responses, all of which have been to no avail.
Any help...well...I need help. simple. please and thanks.
