Using text box to search combo box

I have a unbound form with a 'stretched' combo box listing about 900 file numbers. I've added a unbound text box on the form with an after update code.

Private Sub txtFileSearch_AfterUpdate()
Me.cboFileList = Me.txtFileSearch
End Sub

The text box has no problem searching the bound column 0 in the combo box. But I would like it to search column(3) of the combo box and not column(0).

If tried

Private Sub txtFileSearch_AfterUpdate()
Me.cboFileList.column(3) = Me.txtFileSearch
End Sub

But all I get is an runtime 424 error Object Required
