The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

MS Access Timesheet figuring pay Rate please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!SOS!!!

Asked by edaddyj in Microsoft Access Database

I work for a construction company and I have created this database albatrose that tracks our Employees, Clients, Jobs, Timecards, Expenses and Job cost analysis.  It is working very good thanks to EE.  So thank you very much for your patience in leading this novice through the task of creating this Bohemuth.

My problem is everything works unless someone gets a payraise.  Then it (my monster) recalculates all the past payroll to the new payrate.  I am a novice and I've asked this question before on EE but I just can't make it work.  I thought I had some time to figure it out and over the next few weeks I was hoping to accomplish this but guess what they gave someone a raise today!  Now if anyone pulls a old report I'm busted.  Please help!

I don't know where to start so probably I need to zip/email it to someone and they could take a look.
if not I will try to explain what I've done.

Tables: TimeCards (no payrate on this), Employees (w/field PayRate)
queries: 7 of them Sunday thru Saturday with a expression field [Pay] and this expression says if Texas = Payrate if not then +$2.00
Forms:  TimeSheet (w/field Pay), Employees (w/field PayRate)

This figures my payroll now how would I handle a pay increase without adjusting the previous paydays?

Please help I wish I could give 1000 points for this but I can't
