The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution.   • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Front End Access 2003

Hi there Experts,

I have built a database in Access 97 and it works pretty damn well. Most of the users of the database will be Accessing it in 97 however there are a number of new users that only have Access 2003 but still need to use the DB.

I am unable to upgrade the entire thig to Access2003 although I do prefer it to 97.

I am wondering if it is possible (I think it must be) to build a front end in 2003 that has the controls that the new users will require, this will involve building a form in 2003 that will call modules in the 97 version and run them in the 97 DB. I am unsure of the following:

a) I assume it is possible can you just confirm
b) What sort of methods and functions do I need to use in order to do this (I've been trying to master OpenDatabase but am not sure if this will even help me do what I need to).
