The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Access Form VBA question on If statments

Asked by woodje in Microsoft Access Database, Visual Basic Programming, Access Forms

Hello all,

I have a form that has 1 combo box labeled "combo1" and five text boxes labeled "total1", "total2", "total3", "total4", and "total5". Each of these are user entry fields for numeric numbers the default is set to 0. With the total two I am using an If then else statment to to work with the number in "total2" thanks to some help from other members on EE for this code.

If Forms!form1!combo1 = xyz Then
    If total2 <= 102400 Then
        total2 = 0
    Else: total2 = total2 - 102400
    End If
End If

The problem I had was that when I put this on each of the five total boxes on the afterupdate event when the calculation was done and the finished number was put into the "total2" box if it was less than 102400 and I updated any of the other three total boxes then "total2" was set to zero. How can I stop this? The problem I have is that users may only enter two or three of the total boxes. How can I have it determine when a user is done and have it do the calculation in the if then else statement above.
