The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Relink  one database to another using yet a third database

Asked by 1William in Microsoft Access Database

Hi guys!
Here's the deal. I have your basic FE and 2 BE's (BE1 and BE2). with a . It is used on two different networks. First network (Net1)is responsible for entering data. A form copies BE1 and puts it on another network,(Net2) far, far away.BE2 is never moved or copied, has location  specific information (users and a special table). Works flawlessly. The users in Net2 need to have a table (in BE2) linked to the BE of thier copy. Net1 could care less, but the form still has to work, so they have the table too, but it is aways empty.
So... Net1 updates Net2, replacing thier BE1. BE2 must then be relinkled to BE1 on Net2.

I need code or sugggestions on doing this from Net1.
The logic flow would be:
Net1 presses button to copy BE1 from Net1 to Net2, overwriting Net2 BE1 (tjhis is done and is fine)
During the button event, I need to relink the database on Net2 (BE2) to the database on Net2 (BE1)

Make any sense? I know it is not too  tough but my brain is not working today.
Thanks! :)
