The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Access 2003 Installed On an Office 03 with Access 97 still installed

Here's the History:

Office 97 was Installed.  Later, Office 2003 was installed with a custom install to install all but ACCESS 2003 and to remove all Old Office apps except Access 97 . This is a two-screen process of checkboxes when you choose a 2003 CUSTOM Install.  The first screen asked what of the new Office to install, and all but Access 2003 was selected. The second screen asked what to remove. All but Access 97 was sellected.  Later still SP2 was installed. Result is Office 03 without Access O3 and with Access 97.

Now, I want to install Access 2003 but still leave 97 on the computer.  I was thinking I could go thru the same process. But, my options are now: 1. Add Remove Features 2. Reinstall or Repair 3. Uninstall

When choose Add/ Remove  - - - I see the first of the 2 screen process (What to install) but I do not see the 2ns sceen (What of old to leave on/remove).  If I choose to install Access 2003, can I assume it will not remove Access 97 because it does not ask me as it did in the original installation.

And will I have to reinstall SP2 to cover the new Access 03 addition?Start Free Trial
