For Experts: How to crash Access?

Hello fellow experts.

This isn't a question as such, but rather an expert topic, so feel free to wander. We all know there are several ways to crash Access willingly. I just discovered a new one I'd like to share:

    SELECT Sum(1);

Yes, as simple as that. Try as query or as recordset, it will crash every time... Funny, no?

Comments, other funny ways to crash Access, how to corrupt data (without a binary editor), even simple rants welcome. Points to the most useful or the most funny contribution(s).

Cheers!

Markus

LOL indeed, and quite literally, too!

Marcus ... btw ... If you don't happen to have this program:

http://www.answersthatwork.com/TUT_pages/TUT_whats_new_v4.htm

(The Ultimate Troubleshooter) ... man ... I've been using it for 3-4 years ... it's like Task Manager on Hyper Steroids Acid ... 10 Light Years ahead of Task Manager.  Like ...the first time you run this on any given system (like your girlfriend's, wife's, significant or insignificant other) ... I guarantee you ... the boot time of that system will be cut by 1/3 to 1/2 ... by eliminating unnecessary crap.  I just happen to be using the latest version (4.44) I just upgraded to ... to fine tine my laptop.  Most excellent app.  Just an fyi.

I bookmarked that a couple of weeks ago. I intended to test it when revamping my old Latitude laptop, which has a horrible boot time. But thanks for the tip!

Yes... I thought it would attract just a bit more attraction... (°v°)
Yeah ... shame that I would have to git all the points, lol !

Thanks for mentioning name auto-correct. I think it is indeed one of the surest ways to generate random object corruption.

[And mx won't get *all* the points in the end!]

"random object corruption"

I like that phrase :-)
Thank you all, it's time to close this question. A split among all the participants seems in order! (^v°).

I hate when that happens, lol :-)

Indeed!  There was a CV lurking n the background :-)

Thanks for a fun question!
Yes, a CV remainder would have been embarrassing... Thanks again for joining, to both(!) of you.
