I have MS Access as the front end with tables from an SQL database linked into the access file and these act as datasource for the various queries which are displayed on the click of buttons on the forms.

earlier i was linking tables using trusted connection and then saving the password during linking so that the users are not prompted for passwords everytime the tables are accessed. the problem with this approach is that some smartA$% users are importing tables from my interfaces into their own MS access files and making their own queires which i do not want.

the solution that comes to my mind is link the tables but do not save password. the password should be provided only duirng the opening of the form. this way even if someone tries to link tables they will need to know the password.

now what i need to know is how to provide the password during the opening of the form so that the users don't get prompted when the queries are opened.
