The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not?   • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. How do numbers with 2 decimals add up to a number with 5 decimals?

I have an application where I am iterating through records and adding up the cumulative lengths of records as I go through them. When I get to a certain record, 81.26+1.05 = 82.31001. I cannot figure out why I am getting the extra 0.00001 on the answer. I queried the values while in SQL just to be sure there were no hidden decimal values in the underlying table. VERY WEIRD. Any idea why this might be happening. There are no extra calculations. Just simple addition.Start Free Trial
