Nested IIF with multiple criteria

Creating a dynamic field called Overall Balance. Looking at one field for a "C" and another for the month. If there is a "C" and the month is = x, then put the value of the current balance of that month (ie current_balance3) in the field, otherwise add the previous current_balance to the current_balance, otherwise keep going with the statement and look for the "C" in another field, check the month and put the value of that current balance in the field. If nothing answers the criteria use the opening_balance.
Logic seems ok to me but it's not working! I'm lost. Any help would be appreciated.
