The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

How do I lock one table to another so that when I add an address record it attaches to a specific contact?

Asked by G-MAN3 in Microsoft Access Database

Tags: Microsoft, Access, 2002

I am building a contact management database and am trying to add multiple addresses for a client and want to have a form or subform add more addresses for eg Smith. How do I do it? I will attach my contact and address table design for review. Do I link Master and Child to RecordID and source to ? I am doing something wrong and am getting errors about "on change" (Tab to Tab) and that the object doesn't contain the automation object (M1_Contacts1)? I haven't written any code for this - I suspect that either my table design isn't right (when I bypass this error and try to add a new address on the Address Tab - it lets me enter the data but it will not let me save the data as it states I have tried to enter data into the many side when it doesn't have the one established. Since I do have the record and ID established, I think it is simply a linking issue that I have gotten wrong. Should I use a Many to Many design as it IS possible from time to time that I will have more than one client living at one address (not too often though) - would that help data flow i.e. allow me to add the record(s) in the address subform?

See attached.

Thanks SO much!!!
