Crash during "Make MDE" - lost all VBA

I was in the process of making an MDE from my MDB file when Access crashed.  When I opened my MDB after the crash, all VBA was missing (not just the stuff I had just added).

I'm not sure if it matters, but the MDE was created and is functional.

I tried to decompile (referencing some existing solutions on EE), but my VBA code is still missing.

Thanks in advance for any and all help.

Of course ... you DO ... have a backup of the MDB, *right* ??

Yes - thankfully.  However, I had just added a nice little button with some *great* code since my last backup, and I'd sure hate to redo it.

Yep - I tried to compact and repair - several times.  No luck.

Thanks for your help - you confirmed what I suspected.  I split points based on 2 things - 1) good things to try and hope it fixes the problem, and 2) good things to keep in mind before doing it again.
