Compile Error: Expected: = with Multiple Arguments

Does anyone know why I would get the following compile error with the following statement? I ran the compiler and it didn't see any problems.

Expected: = 

Public Function Outputtext(Text1 As String, Text2 As String)

I do not get a compile error, passing two arguments.

Msgbox appears.

How do you call this? Is the Function in a form class or module?

Being a function, it should return a value.
Use this...

Public Function Outputtext(Text1 As String, Text2 As String) as Boolean
MsgBox Text1 & Text2
Outputtext = true
End Function

... Or this..

Public Sub Outputtext(Text1 As String, Text2 As String)
MsgBox Text1 & Text2
End Sub

Thanks. I was completely neglecting the fact that my function had to return a value and should be called in that manner. I split the points between Paulop and DatabaseMX as both addressed this issue.

The function does not have to return a value.

However, the manner in which you call it would matter.
