Filter subform based on input in Unbound Text Box

Once again, Microsoft Access has humbled me. I am trying to accomplish a task that I thought would be very simple. I have a form with an embedded subform. There are two tables involved. The parent table is the Auction table and Auction ID is the key. The secondary table is the auction item table. Record key is AuctionID and an autonumber field.
On the main form a user is able to enter a word into a unbound description search field. In the after update event, I have code (listed below) that changes the record source of the embedded subform. I have run debug and followed the code step by step. After settting the record source (last step), the embedded form contains the correct records. However, as soon as the subroutine ends, the main form advances one record. How can I stop it from advancing to the next record?
