updating a txt document when in use via Access

Asked by blue-genie in Microsoft Access Database, Access Forms, ActionScript

Tags: Actionscript; MSAccess

I'm busy building a progressive jackpot counter thing, now my boss had an Access thing developed that handles the increments per second etc, which writes to a txt file. the 2 work fine exclusively, but the thing is my boss wants me to plug my app into his in terms of getting the data from the text file. Loading from text file no problem but now when i'm reading the txt document through loadVars, the access thing stops and dies, it seems it can't update a document if it is in use. This is only a development testing environment at this point, but is there something i can or need to do on either the flash or Access side to allow the 2 to work together in peace and harmony.

shot.
