can't update a query from vb

I am trying to edit a query from my vba app but i keep getting error 3027 " cannot update. Databse or object is read onl as soon as the code encounters rs,edit   When i run the query outside vb i can edit and change my fields.without a proiblem.  the query is called ""Bid Tracker Query Most Common Phase1",  and the sql for it is as follows and it uses two tables to get the query.
