The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

ms access 07 subform query

Asked by notbobj1 in Microsoft Access Database

I have a main form with a tab control and a continuous subform on each of those tabs.
On the first continuous subform I have an account and dollar field that users can enter a dollar amount into.
Acct No, Dollar No
110, 10
119, 20
199, 30
There are several account#'s but the one I am focusing on is acct# 199.
On the second subform, it is setup the same as subform1, but the dollar fields are locked as we are just displaying values for them.
Acct No, Dollar No
210, 10
219, 20
299, 30

The acct# on the second subform I am focusing on is #299 and the dollar amount is a calculation based on the dollar amount from subform 1, where subform 1's acct # is 199

So, in the current_event of subform 2, I wrote:
If (Me.AcctNo = 299) Then
Dim calc As Long
calc = Nz(DLookup("[2009b]", "budgetinformation", "[DeptNo] = " & dept & " and [AcctNo] = 199 and ([2009b]>0 or [2009b] is not null)"), 0)
If (calc > 0) Then
Dim calc2 As Long
calc2 = calc * 0.14 + 7500
Me.[2009b].Value = calc2
Me.Info2.Value = "1"
Else
Me.[2009b].Value = 0
Me.Info2.Value = "1"
End If
End If

that all works great when the form initially loads.
However, it does not update after a user changes the value in subform1.
So, how do I call the subform2 current_event again after the user updates the subform1 amount - OR is there a better way or different location I should be doing this???
