Basics for Building Access 2007 Runtime-Based Solutions

Browse All TopicsI am tryig to use Access 2007 Runtime and Developer Extensions to create a runtime (read only) database that can be installed onto a PC that DOES NOT have access 2007 installed on it. That is how I understand this works anyway . . . if I am wrong please correct me.
WHAT I DID:
--------------------------
I used Developer to Package a Solution and chose the third option "Require Nothing and Install Access 2007 Runtime" and pointed to where I have Runtime.exe located. Went through the wizard with no problems and when finished I had:
- a setup.exe
- an autorun.inf
- and a folder called files which contains AccessRuntime.exe, a mydbasename.msi file (the installer file), and a setup folder containing setup.ini
MY PROBLEM
--------------------------
When I run the setup.exe file on a PC that DOES NOT have access 2007 installed on it, it seems to run fine - it installs Access Runtime and creates a dbase with a .accdr extension. Once finished installing, I open the shortcut that was created and all I get is a blank access screen (a form is supposed to start when the dbase is opened). The only thing I can see is the access icon top-left with only the option to EXIT.
It works fine if I run the setup.exe on a PC that DOES have Access 2007 installed on it.
So, is it possible to create a runtime (accdr extension) access 2007 dbase that will run on a PC that does not have a full Access 2007 installed?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have permission to access that folder - everything works fine on a machine that has a full version of Access 2007 installed . . . if the PC has access 2003 or no access at all, I get the runtime access screen (without the nav pane, toolbars etc) and a blank white box in taskbar, but my initial form is not there. The only option I have is to exit. I'll try to attach a screen capture of what I am describing.
I have read that article before, but just went through it again very carefully . . . I made sure runtime was installed on a PC without access installed - I tried the "package solution" and I also tried to simply "Make MDE" and copy the .accde dbase to the PC with runtime installed . . . same thing.
Not sure what I am missing! It all seems pretty straight forward.

@peter - Okay, I don't think I understood you correctly the first time.
ON MY PC THAT I DO MY DEVELOPING (and that has Access 2007 installed):
I opened my .accdb and went into trust center and added several trusted locations - my Package Solution installs to Program Files - I trusted the appropriate sub folder - re-ran the Package Solution wiz - - no luck. I also changed the extension of my .accdb to accdr and trusted the folder it is in, and just tried to open the accdr - still no luck . . . on my PC without any access installed or another one that has acess 2003, but it works great on my PC with Access 2007 installed.
Is that what you were referring to?

Okay I officially deserve the DumbAss of the year award! Lol! Sorry for wasting your guys time!
I use dual monitors and was running access on my secondary monitor. Turns out the form was opening, it was just off the screen way to the left side. Figured this out when I tried it in our conference room with a big flat screen and then I could just see the corner of the form off to the left.
Did it all again using my primary monitor and voila . . . it all worked as it should.
I feel quite foolish, but live and learn I guess!
