Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Asked by m3housing in Microsoft Access Database, Active Server Pages (ASP)
I have a system DSN Called MyDatabase, this connects to an access database. I connect to the database and show results from a query using ASP, the problem is that if I store the database on a mapped networked location, it fails to work but works fine if the path is local to the computer. I recevie the message
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers (0x80004005)
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] '(unknown)' is not a valid path. Make sure that the path name is spelled correctly and that you are connected to the server on which the file resides.
I can query the mapped data using Excel so dont see why it should be a problem any ideas?
