Type mismatch on expression on a lookup field

Hello,
i will try to explain this the best i can. i have to tables that i want to link up by the Job Number field.
one of the tables (Job history) has the Job Number as a string
the other table (Job Production) has the job number as a lookup that returns a string but the data type on the main field has it as a Number even though it is returning text data. i.e. 58131-1

i'm trying to link the 2 tables by the Job number but i get error message Type mismatch on expression.

how can i correct this lookup ordeal?
