The Search Key was not found on any record

I have a small Excel worksheet that I was trying to import data into an access table. Its about 25 records and maybe 15 fields. When I attempt to import, I get the above message. I have tested several other worksheets that import no problem. I copied the data from the problem workbook into a new file and tried and got the same message.

That would tend to make me think something in the data is throwing off the import process. I have gone back and looked for special characters ,etc. but have not been able to correct so I can import.

Any ideas on what I can look for? Or am I off base on assumptions. All help appreciated.

That specific almost always means that ... that one for more fields and/or records in some table are corrupted.  First try a Compact and Repair on the mdb and report back.

I did a compact and repair and it still would not import. I also tried importing this file to a different access database and it failed on that one as well. There was one field in the excel which was the result of a formula (concatenation of first initial and last name). I even went through and types those values as text thinking maybe the formula was throwing it off. That did not work either.

As mentioned above, I have also tried copying the data I want to import to a new excel file. No success on that either.

The only other thing I can think of is to run JetComp.exe on the  mdb

Tried the JetComp and it did not work either. Thanks for your help. If you think of something else I would love to hear.

Can you upload an MDB with this issue?  

Don't have any more ideas per se ... other than repair services.  I have a list if you would like it ?

Unfortunately cant upload the files. Work for the gov't. I appreciate your time though. Thanks for the ideas.
