Question
expand or contract field displayed in a subform
I have a subform within a form that display fields of data from a table. One of the fields is a DateField formatted as Short Date. I created a command button on my form that allows me to toggle between Short Date format and Long Date format of my DateField. What I'm looking to add to the command button code is to expand/widen the column when the Long Date is displayed and shrink it back down when Short Date is displayed. I'm looking for the same exact functionality as when you click on the little vertical line between header/field names on a form that resizes the column width. Except I'd like to have the functionality under my command button. Any solutions?

If I can use the command button to set the width of a column in datasheet view to a specific numeric width, that would be fine too. For example, when short date is chosen to be displayed by clicking on the command button, have the column width set to like 12. When Long Date is chosen, have the width set to 30 or whatever.
