To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating. - The Grade of the Solution
- The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
- The Number of Author and Expert Comments
- The Number of Experts Contributing
- The Feedback of the Community
Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. I need help. I forget how to do this
I have a querie that has PARTNO, BY SECT and QTY. I have partnumbers assigned to different sections of the plant, and each section has qty's of parts that are in that section. I need to group the the partnumbers, then group those partnumbers to the By Sect (where the parts are) and then sum the total qty of those parts, and the section that they are in. e.g.
Part Number By Sect(txt) Qty
a 40 12
a 40 8
a 45 10
b 40 5
b 40 5
b 45 5
I need my result to be
Part Number By Sect Qty
a 40 20
a 45 10
b 40 10
b 45 5
I know that this is probably Access 101 but I have not used in a while and I forgot it
Your help is much appreciated. One I get this, I can move on to my forms. and reports! Thanks in advance
