newbie needs help.. i have a txt file that needs to be read in in access 2003 and then to populate a database table

hi experts,
i have a txt file that contains orders.. i need to have this placed into a database table.. ive tried this before with some success.. but now i find i cant replicate the vba program.. can anyone assist me from the very beginning?
i understand i have to use fso etc to read the form in..
i have attached the text file..what i need is a table with column headers that correspond with lines in the text file eg..clo, ord, din etc
i will then reorder the text using split...before it populates the table

have you tried importing the file into excel then exporting to access ?

can't see the text file attached

no sorry i forgot to attach the file.. this has been dumped in my lap..my boss says access so access it must be!!
ive attached the said file...
any info greatly appreciated

You can directly import it by clicking File - External Data - Import, then select "Text File" and locating your file.

Or are you looking for a VBA solution? Is so:

DoCmd.TransferText "blah blah"
