Took me 5 minutes to do it :)

Make a Lable on your Form, call it
lbl_Time

then paste the following code

jaffer

Private Sub Form_Load()
    For i = 60 To 0 Step -1
        PauseTime = 1    ' Set duration.
        Start = Timer ' Set start time.
        Do While Timer < Start + PauseTime
            DoEvents ' Yield to other processes.
        Loop
        lbl_Time.Caption = i

    Next i
End Sub

ah forgot

when making a Label, you have to enter something in it, so enter 60,
resize it, choose the correct font and size, and save the Form.

Countdown timer that starts when the form opens:
textbox name: txtCountDown
timer interval:  1000 (to count down in 1 second increments

Public Form_Open ()
txtCountDown = 60
End Sub

Public Sub Form_Timer ()
txtCountDown = txtCountDown - 1
If txtCountDown = 0 Then  Me.TimerInterval = 0
End Sub

Hi jjafferr:
Just built a mini database with just your form in it. i have applied all the code and when i open the form it appears nothing happens. at first i thought the database had frozen as it would not allow me to select anything else, however after 60 seconds the form sudenly apeared displaying "0".
I pressume the form is working but for some reason is hidden until "0" is reached.
How can i make the form be visible and display the countdown going down the numbers.
to assist i have enclosed the mini database i just created.

Attached is a working copy

Although my code works while the Form is Open, but like you noticed, the Form will open when the timer stops.

I used thenelson's code and it worked with minor change.

So, the points should go to thenelson for his code.

Good job Nelson :)
