MS Access: Forms / Search Form
I need to turn this form "frmToolsLookUp" into a simple search form that will use the field "Tool_PK" as the search field to bring up the record related to that PK to display that record in the other fields.
See attached file.

Another one.
Look at form frmlToolsLookUpAfterUpdate
I locked the data on this form so it cannot be updated
and see the "AfterUpdate" for Tool_PK
Less code and changes the recordsource.
It will show the last one used when it opens.

Donald,
Thank you very much, this was not necessary but is very much appreciated as it increases my knowledge in this area. I am going to be asking some more questions that concern linking tables in this form so that I can inspect an instrument and then link the child record to the record that was called up by the search.
I have linked the tables the way I think they should be but I am not seeing correctly linked. Again thanks for the extra info.
