custom events raised not sinking
hey guys, i'm trying to learn how to use custom events, just can't get my head around it and cpearson's article (whilst great) is driving me up the wall with no specific example on how to link everything together.
http://www.cpearson.com/excel/events.htm
here's my empty (almost) test database just to test this event. could yall help me modify it so that the event sinks? thanks!!

Can you explain your aim? What do you like to achieve? In Access you can have events on forms, reports and timer event.

i'm just trying how to learn how to make the events work properly. once i know how they work then i can apply creativity to use them.
so in this case i'm not starting with a problem but rather learning a tool which i could then use as one of the units in the arsenal to solve problems moving forward = )

yup i'm just trying to learn how to implement what cpearson mentioned at the bottom of his article about events in custom classes. i'm not sure how i will use it or if i will even use it or not, but i want to be a diligent student and learn this = )

whao!!! holy molly i'm going to re-read this quite a few times!! gimme a sec Christian!! = )) super cool!!!!

whao Christian, i just re-read your comment a few times, and i believe i will need to re-read it again some time later once i've digested and played around with things more.
yes the help file is pretty much not helping unfortunately and thus with confidence i can say that your article referred to in this comment, and this long comment, is the most robust authority on this subject now = )
i did think of interfaces and events, i think i know how to implement them given my fascination with interfaces, events and trying to project OOP onto VBA - simply because OOP is probably the best way to organise many many things in life so adding small constructs here and there to upgrade VBA to OOP in the end would help us a lot i feel = )
going to put your comment in your article now. everybody should read this too = )
perhaps if you could Christian, can you post how people would use interfaces and events in your article? i think many many people would appreciate it = ) alternatively if i get to that stage i won't mind chipping in and helping out posting it = ) it may be awhile though!! = )

Hi,
thanks for your comments to my article..:-))
Copying the comment from here didn't work, you cannot see the code snippets in the copy...the link was enough.
I think about writing a new article about events and interfaces in common.
Cheers,
Christian

Ok I'll properly format the code so that it appears nicely to the other readers. Least I could do after you put in all that effort in the article and all the help for me!! = ))
I think this is really cool, we are both on the mindset of using interfaces and events! = )) that means I must be heading down the right track to some extent! = P (it depends as what you've always taught me haha)
