Access 2003 - Capture Signature

I am trying to add an signature field to a form on an existing Access 2003 application, what is the easiest way to preform this and what tablet/device would you recommend, we don't want to plug in a USB capture device.

<we don't want to plug in a USB capture device. >
Then doing this may be tricky...

Then how are you wanting the user to input their signature?
How is this signature being captured and stored?

Is the signature to be an Image, or are you wanting the user to manually "sign" something, then store the image...

In other words can you give us a clearer explanation of the purpose of this system?

we are creating an inspection database for our health inspector.  after completing the inspection she wants the restuarant owner/or agent to 'sign' the inspection. she envisions using a tablet.  my vision is a form on the tablet. they sign it we capture it  and we reprint latter at the office.  so we will need to use it in a report also.

i found a question here that asks the same question... submitted by blgrable
he posted an answer to his own question, or at least part of it.

I hope he has the rest of the answer.
i was not able to get the ink solution to work.  it may have been not being familiar with vb and tweaking it to vba
Here's a simple demo I made using the Ink Picture ActiveX Control.  I must say this control is quite quirky.  It works but if you cancel your signature to start over, you have to reopen the form.  I'm not sure why.  It also exhibits this behavior if you move to another record.  I save the signature in an OLE Object field in the table but it's probably better to save the signature to a directory as a GIF image.  This may solve some of the issues.

Ron,
Just to clarify, ...you can install Access on a tablet, open this database/form, then use a standard tablet "Pen" to input/capture the signature?

Thanks for the sample...

Thanks Ron!

I am sure the OP can take what you have presented here and be off to a great start...

Was playing with the control a bit, and I like most of it.  But I have been unable to place the control on to a report (that appears) for Generating a PDF (with security) to archive the signature as it happens.  Any words of wisdom?
Interestingly enough, someone else wanted to do the same thing a few months ago and so I revised the original database.  Check it out here:
