I just accepted a contract position as an Access Database developer. I am by trade a C#/.Net engineer, but I did quite a bit of work on Access VBA for a year and a half for a legacy app. That being said, I am in the process of refreshing my memory and have three specific questions:
1 - I remember that to access the VBE, you had to fire up the app from within access, then when a certain splash/warning screen displayed, you hit a combination of control keys to get in and design forms, queries, code, debug, etc. What are those keys???? I can't remember for the life fo me!!!!!
2 - Can you use TOAD, DB Artisan etc to query the db? The app I worked on had a SQL Server db, so I used industry tools to query the [1000+] tables.
3 - I think I remember that we deployed a .mde instead of .mbd. Was a repair database always necessary?
Thanx in advance - these questions are not answered in any of the Access books I have or MS help....!
