Hi there<br />
My installation of Visual Studio is giving me a real headache and am not sure what to do about it.<br />
<br />
I had it all installed and was happily debugging my ASP app when I hit the stop button to come out o fthe debugger and my whole PC froze. &nbsp;Eventually I had to Ctrl+Alt+Del and shutdown my system but when I rebooted I could no longer startup Visual Studio.<br />

It tells me there has been an <br />

Unhandled exception in DEVENV.EXE (MSENV.DLL): 0xC0000005: Access Violation.<br />
<br />
I have tried uninstalling Visual Studio, Visual Interdev Server, Frontpage Extensions and all and re-installing but makes no difference. &nbsp;I even uninstalled Windows service Pack 2 and tried it without that but still the same error.<br />
<br />
Has anyone ever seen this before and has an idea what I might need to do to resolve it????? &nbsp;It can't be the application itself as have completely reinstalled all files. &nbsp;There must be some other resource that is locked and can't get unlocked.<br />
