Class inheritance in VIsual Basic

I am supposed to figure out if the class that I just defined below will be inherited implicitly from the Object class. As I understood, it's the other way around. Doesn't every class inherit the object class?

Public Class Puzzle
   Public m_difficulty As Integer

   Public Property Difficulty() As Single
      Get
         Return m_difficulty
      End Get
      Set(ByVal Value As Single)
         m_difficulty = Value
      End Set
   End Property
End Class

YES. Unless it inherits from another class, but all them are finally derived from Object class.
Thus, Object members like ToString() are available for every class.

So if you were asked this on a test, how would you answer?

True or False: If I define my own class, such as the puzzle class above, it will be inherited implicitly from the Object class.(

You can see this using code like this:

        Dim P As New Puzzle

        MessageBox.Show("BaseType = " & P.GetType.BaseType.Name)

        If TypeOf P Is Object Then
            MessageBox.Show("It's an Object!")
        End If

Hmmm. English: False; implied content: True.

It should read "it will inherit implicitly from" or "it will implicitly be an inheritor of". Of course if your replace just "from" with "by", the content becomes false as well.

Something like that...
