Question

E:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function

Hi,
When ever I  insert a blank disc into my DVD RW instead of Auto Play prompting me the icon simply says
CD Drive (E:) and if I click on it I get a message that says E:\ is not accessible. Incorrect function.
This is a new drive, ribbon appears to be good.  Someone suggested right clicking on the drive and checking the recording tab but I don't see one.
Please help if you can.

Do you have Roxio installed?

I believe it has something to do with my recording tab not being found on either drive. As I recall they were both there when I first installed Windows.
Now, what could have changed that feature. If you don't have a Recording tab, it means that XP is not recognizing your burner's recording capabilities.
Anybody??

You didn't answer the question of it you have Roxio installed.

I figured out hthis problem on my own. I was using a site called Driver agent to install some of my drivers for this PC. it seems one of them was steeling the show and should not have been installed.
Once I deleted it and just let windows install the drivers for the drives everything worked fine.
Now I just have to figure out how to close this question.
