Main Topics
Browse All TopicsThis is a wireless keyboard/mouse system that is only a couple of weeks old. It just stopped working. I have replaced the batteries. It's supposed to be PnP hardware - it did not come with any install drivers. Device Manager is reporting the USB as an "Unknown device." It says the driver is not installed but when I try to update it, it says it already has the most up to date driver. Microsoft does not have drivers specific to this device on their download website. I have tried disabling/enabling, uninstalling/installing, plugging the Receiver USB plug into different plugs. I can't get it to work and I have tried this on two different machines with the same results. The receiver power light is on and the mouse optical light is on. The only indicator I see on the keyboard is a low-battery light but it is not lit.
Thanks in advance for your assistance, Jack.

Seems you found a very popular mouse and keyboard set (popular because of problems). Several other forums have people asking the exact same question about this device. The short of the long is that part of the issue lies here:
Quote "I resolved this, after much consternation by going to the device manager and updating the driver. When I updated the driver, I told it to look explicitly in the Windows\INF folder. It started loading and couldn't find a file, usbccgp.sys. I mounted the ISO image of the Windows XP SP2 CD and it loaded nicely."
Still looking for a set of reliable drivers but I would try the last two recommendations above.

Is this a bluetooth wireless kb/mouse? If so, find the blue "sync" button on the USB plug and the "connect" button on your mouse and keyboard. Resync them.
