question about partition tables

i want to know how i can in a matter of seconds destroy all data on my hard drive

i theorized that of i destroyed my partition table it will be enough but i presume that data recovery software can reconstruct files txt bmp jpg zip etc.... i need an idea so that my security program will make it impossible for data to be recovered in this way thanks

p.s the aim here is to protect my data from prying eyes in case of stolen machine not for any other purpose
