Browse All TopicsI have an external keyboard attached to my Thinkpad. It's connected through aPS2/USB adapter. The keyboard mostly works except that I do alot of Copy/Paste of text.
The problem:
When I highlight and copy text, if I use any of the arrow keys to navigate to my pasteing location, I'm ruined! All four arrow keys act like the Print Screen button where it will place a snapshot of the whole screen into the Clipboard. This causes my text to be cleared out of the clipboard.
The only why my text stays put is if I use the mouse to navigate to my pasting location. This is a problem because I prefer the keyboard over the mouse.
I've deleted the Keyboard drivers in Hardware manager. I've rebooted a few times. I've searched for remapper utilites. Cannot seem to find an answer. Suggestions, welcome. Also, if I use the keyboard in the thinkpad docking station, everything seems to work.
Thanks, Sulzener

If you're using Windows XP, the free remapkey.exe utility that's in Microsoft NT / 2000 resource kit should work. This will allow you to completely remap your keyboard.
Basic troubleshooting, did you try a different keyboard? Could also be the USB to PS/2 adapter. Try a new one of those and make sure it's the Purple one that is made for the keyboard.
